You may have heard there are about 7,000 languages in the world. That is the official count, the one with names and codes and numbers.

But that is not the whole story.

Most of those languages have no full Bible. Many have never been written down at all. They are heart languages — the language someone grew up speaking at home, the language they pray in, the language that holds their soul.

Tribes DTS exists to help bring the words of Jesus to those waiting peoples. To walk humbly with them, language by language, story by story, tribe by tribe.

Lecture Phase · 3 months · on campus

Be formed.

Twelve weeks of teaching, community life, worship, and personal growth on the YWAM Kansas City campus. Speakers from across the YWAM family share what they have lived. Mornings in the Word. Afternoons in workshops, work duties, and small groups.

You will learn the character of God. You will learn yourself. You will learn how the Body of Christ moves across cultures and languages.

II
Outreach Phase · 2 months · in the field

Be sent.

Teams are sent out across the United States and overseas. Some will serve in cities. Others will travel to remote regions and walk alongside indigenous communities for the first time in their lives.

What you have learned, you now give away. Cross-cultural mission, hands and feet on the ground, friendship with peoples whose stories most of the world has never heard.

Tribes DTS welcomes people of every age. Eighteen, thirty, sixty — the door is the same. What we ask for is hunger.
